Trauma Recovery

£200

If you've experienced a traumatic antenatal, birth, or postnatal event and are still feeling its emotional impact, my Trauma Recovery service is here to help.

While some people may receive a formal diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress, many continue to struggle without one—left feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stuck, with symptoms that don’t seem to fade. That’s where the 3-Step Rewind Process can make a real difference, gently helping you release the emotional weight of your experience and find relief.

What is Trauma?

The term trauma is used to describe a reaction to a particularly terrible or life-threatening event.

You are likely here because you are experiencing some or all of these symptoms:

Reliving your experience through flashbacks or nightmares

Avoiding the subject by not talking or thinking about it, avoiding particular experiences that may trigger the emotions or even avoiding the event recurring, such as putting off having more children

Hyper-arousal in certain situations that may trigger you, through your senses or emotions

Negative or extreme moods which may include excessive worrying, a feeling of overwhelm, angry outbursts, anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem or other unwanted reactions and feelings

It is important to know that this list is by no means exhaustive and is not diagnostic.
You may also have other symptoms not mentioned.

Why Does Trauma Happen?

So why are you having this difficult response to what has happened?
The information below may help you to identify and understand the triggers from your personal experience.

Intrinsic Factors

You may have experienced extreme pain, with little or no pain relief

Maybe there was a sudden emergency such as your baby showing signs of distress

You or your baby could have had unexpected medical complications resulting in a need for medical intervention. Examples of this might be post-partum haemorrhage or your baby having to be transferred to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)

Psychological Factors

It could be that you had a genuine fear for your's, your baby's or your partner’s life

Perhaps the reality of your birth didn’t meet your expectations

You could have lost the moment of birth because of a medical emergency or the impact of medication

Interpersonal Factors

Lack of consent to procedures, resulting in unwanted medical interventions

Experiencing a lack of control or feeling like you have been ‘backed into a corner’

Having received poor or little communication and care during the labour, birth or postnatal period, thus leaving you feeling disconnected, scared and unaware of your choices, or even that you had a choice, or having decisions made for you without informed consent

Package Features

  • “My anxiety was so bad, causing me to violently vomit. Since completing rewind with Clair, I’ve not suffered with any sickness or physical reactions to anxiety since. I feel so much calmer with situations now. I have felt for 2 years that I was overreacting, have been told by so many people to ‘get on with it’. Clair sat, listened, offered so much support, all in the comfort of my safe place - my home. Thank you again, I will never ever stop recommending you.”

  • “Clair is genuinely one of the kindest and most caring people I’ve ever met. From the moment we started, I felt completely at ease—she has a natural way of creating a safe, comfortable space where you can relax and focus on healing. She adapted the process seamlessly to suit my needs, especially as I struggle with visualisation, and her patience and understanding made the whole experience feel accessible and empowering.”

  • “Clair’s trauma recovery has changed my whole outlook. Finally, after 16 months I can honestly say I have such a strong bond with my daughter, and can enjoy being her Mum.”

  • “To be given that time to really accept and understand my birth was so needed, it’s allowed me to overcome a lot of the anxieties I had over it, whilst doing so in a safe situation. After just 3 sessions, I’ve achieved so much for myself. I’m so pleased I’ve worked through this process, to have a positive outcome with a new view on my traumatic birth.”
